Habitat
The Quetzal prefers moist mountain forests which is active most in edges and canopy but it can be found in deforested areas with a lot of trees however, only if there are still forests that are fed and have adequate nesting trees.
Range
The bird is found across the entire southern region of Mexico up to the western part of Panama and is found at altitudes of 1500 to 2,500 meters.
